Tomorrow’s voices – a sharing of words and films
Grab Sunday Lunch in Loves Cafe and join us for the culmination of home-cooked poetry and film created with local people across a range of Weston Words workshops during Arts + Health Week. Presented by award-winning poet Shagufta K Iqbal and Weston film-maker Farhath Siddiqui.
“My work is concerned with looking at under-represented narratives and how we can make global conversations including the experiences of overlooked communities.” Shagufta K Iqbal.
Shagufta’s poetry film ‘Borders’ has won several awards and screened across international film festivals. Her second poetry collection is focusing on the themes of food politics.
