Tom’s Tea Party

🏳️‍🌈 What’s the queerest thing that’s happened in Weston?

Writer and Performer Tom Marshman invites everyone to a creative social at Proud Bar where you can share your stories of Weston or simply listen to slices of local queer history over tea and cake in a friendly and supportive environment.

Building on the Pride Manifesto for Weston, developed by the Let’s Get Visible Collective with Megan Clark-Bagnall, Tom’s Tea Party will further amplify LGBTQ+ voices in our local community.

This is part of Century super Shrines, funded by Historic England and delivered in partnership with North Somerset Council’s Heritage Action Zone. Inspired and enabled by professional artists, local communities will make a series of innovative contemporary ‘shrines’ that stem from a consistent creative-wellbeing offer on the high street. With an eye on Pride 2022 and Pride UK 2023 this community narrative will be a focal point of Shrine No. 2!
