Paula Birtwhistle

I have had an interest in the environment for as long as I can remember.

I started campaigning in Australia to stop polluting mines being built.

I have dabbled in renewable energy for about 17 years after living on a narrow boat and living by solar power.

I’ve done some solar training at CAT and then worked on renewables in live events for years to try and find a lower carbon way to bring people together.

Most recently I’ve put my efforts behind Extinction Rebellion (XR) to try and bring about the change we need. I’ve also undertaken Carbon Literacy training.

This job brings together my two passions, the excitement and creativity of the arts and my drive for us to achieve it on a planet that can sustain us.
